Pregnancy week 8
At week 8 of pregnancy your baby is about 0.7" long (roughly the size of an adult thumbnail - measured from
baby's head to its buttocks - also called crown to rump length)
By the eight week of pregnancy its possible and even likely that you have gained some weight - you might have pregnancy symptoms -
or there maybe some changes to your body that are noticeable to you, such as slightly large breasts and tummy and the fact that your uterus is growing can begin to alter the shape of
your tummy - if you haven't taken a pregnancy test yet then
its probably a good idea that you did - its probabable that no-one has noticed you are pregnant.
Unseen to you and the world the baby growing inside you only 6 weeks after conception is beginning to form eyelids - the features of the face are forming - ears are forming -
the valves in the heart are present - the body is growing - elbows are now visible and the arms are growing - air passages from the lungs the throat are present -
eyes and nostrils are forming - the fin like feet/hand buds now have small dents defining where the toes and fingers will grow
At week 8 of prenancy you might be having breast pain or other pregnancy symptoms -
your uterus has grown to the size of a grapefruit from about the size of an orange - you may feel your uterus contracting - this can cause discomfort or pain in your lower back or sides
