Pregnancy week 19
Baby is now about 5.2 to 6 inches long (from head to bottom) and at week 19 of pregnancy your baby weighs about 7 ozs (or 200
grams) - as with pregnancy week 18the very fast rate of growth
that took place in preceeding weeks is beginning to slow...
You have gained about 8 to 14 lbs and your uterus continues to upwards and is just below your bellybutton now -
aswell as having back pain your changing shape means you have to compensate for the weight of your tummy by placing pressure on your back - you might consider buying a maternity girdle to help with backache...
- by pregnancy week 19 you might be experiencing dizziness caused by low blood pressure - this low blood pressure can be caused by the uterus exerting pressure on your major blood arteries / veins (when you lie on your back) - or it can be caused by getting up too
fast - you may also be anemic (your iron levels may be low) - also low or high blood sugar levels can make you feel dizzy -
ask your doctor if it makes sense to take an iron supplement.
