Pregnancy week 1
At week 1 of pregnancy its too early to tell whether you are pregnant or not - you might want to read about preconception
and ask yourself if you have any pregnancy symptoms. We have a dedicated website www.earlypregnancysymptom.org which
explains early pregnancy symptoms. What you should consider though is your lifestyle and how that will affect a baby's development during pregnancy.
Week 1 of pregnancy is, in fact, 2 weeks BEFORE you get pregnant. In an effort to make things simpler to calculate, doctors, or whoever came up with the weekly system of
measuring pregnancy, said that pregnancy begins at the start of your last period (before you become pregnant) - to confuse yourself further see our section on pregnancy due date.
If you think you might become pregnant or if you are further along than week 1 (maybe you mean first week after conception or week 3 of pregnancy) then you need
to make sure you are looking after your health and eating healthily - a healthy lifestyle and some even mild exercise can be very helpful to you
and your baby. For further information take a look at the preconception checklist.
