How to figure out Pregnancy due date

How to calculate Pregnancy due date

Before you begin you might like to get a recent calendar, some paper and a pen and a calculator...

Start of pregnancy
Think about the date of your last menstrual period - write it down - for example say it was Feb 25 - if you are pregnant then Feb 25 is the first day of pregnancy ! - put another way, the date of your last period is used as a due date predictor.

The date of your last period is around 2 weeks before you ovulate - that's 2 weeks before you even conceive ! - think about it as an easy beginning point for doctors to figure your due date.

Due date
Pregnancy is around 280 days long - 40 weeks - from the beginning of your last period. So, if Feb 25 was the beginning of your last period, then add 280 days - to arrive at a due date of Dec 2. Or, using a calendar, simply count back 3 months from you first day of your last period - and add 7 days.
